Breeding plans for Fall/Winter 2009

Breeding plans for Fall/Winter 2009
09/25/09:

LYNX
Made 2 Perfection and Succession are STILL giving me some breeding problems - they just don't seem to want to take! I'm trying an alternate method of ACV with them for a few weeks and then I'll try again. I really would like to get SOMETHING more out of these does, as I'm still not yet prepared to remove either of these does from my breeding program just yet.

My does have had a few extra weeks of 'off time', so I'll be picking up my breedings again over fall and winter.

REW/LYNX
Arietta will be crossed with Distinction for her next litter, then I will evaluate her against a recent REW daughter to see if she's ready to be moved on or remain in the breeding program for a few more litters.

I am also looking forward to using Taj in my breeding program, I believe I'll cross him with Perfect Desires this winter and then go from there, I'd like to cross him also with Made 2 Perfection if I can get her back in production.

Tan Mini Rex
I have a handful of more litters growing out. Unfortunately with a recent heat wave a few weeks ago, I lost ALL of my original Tan breeding stock from Steve Roush's barn. I was however VERY greatful that prior to their loss, I had 2 successfull litters of Tan to Tan breedings, so I have not lost the any of the genetics in the line. I will now be using these 6 (3 Black Tan bucks, 2 Chocolate Tan does, 1 Chocolate Tan buck) as my 'new' foundation stock and continue on from here.

I am still working on my Tan Mini Rex site and am still not quite ready to publicly unveil it as of yet.

These are just some of the highlights planned for this year's breedings.
