SBR: Hi Jeff! Sounds like Persuasion has made himself at home! Snow is something that none of the rabbits have experienced yet... that's going to be quite interesting! :)
Jeff Simmons: HI Sunnie, What a rabbit, Persuasion comes to the door each morning and wants his ears Scratched. He has such a personaty. The does are doing well. But in a couple of days they are going to wonder what has happened.it is going to snow here. se you later. Jeff
SBR: Hi Chris! I'll cross my fingers for some nice show stoppers out of them!!! I'm sure they'll be very nice kits . Give Am.Void a scratch behind the ears and a kiss on the nose for me - the barn just isn't the same without him

Breeding plans for Winter 2008

Breeding plans for Winter 2008
11/07/08:

LYNX
Made 2 Perfection will now be replacing her dam as one of my main brood does. I have enjoyed watching her first litter grow up and will soon be weaned before I know it. This winter, I have plans on crossing her to her 1/2 brother "Warriors of Virtue" and for a late winter litter in 2009 possibly crossing her to her full brother "Distinction". These should turn out to be nice crosses, so we'll see how things plan out.

I'm still hoping to breed Bucket back to his dam Peony to see if they can produce better furred offspring together. This winter I also plan on crossing Peony to Downpour as I'm hoping together they would make exquisite babies.

Succession will be taking over for her dam Mae West, and for her first litter I'm thinking of crossing with a similarly furred buck, "Heavens Lil' Devil".

Lil' Gem will be making her debut in my breeding program with a litter by Perspective. Her next litter will be sired by Heavens Lil' Devil.

I've decided to keep Speckled Lace around to help out some more with density. She's got a pretty nice coat on her, if only she had equally nice color! Luckily the majority of my bucks have been throwing nicely colored babies, so Lacey is definitely going to keep me on my toes so I don't inadvertently set myself back a step in color.

REW/LYNX
I will be down-sizing my REW's further since I'm liking the overall fur qualities I've been seeing in my Lynx... now it's just a matter of selection, selection, selection! I may still toss in a few REW to Lynx breedings here and there, but it won't be as often or as many as I have previously been doing.

BEW
I am eager to see litter results from Gibby and Mix it up. Both these rabbits compliment each other so well and it's very difficult to find faults on either one of these 2 rabbits (aside from Mix's VC markings...lol). I am also eager to see a cross between Mix and Céleste. I've really liked the litters she's produced with her sire Hey Mister, now it's time to take her to some more distantly & non- related bucks. I also have plans to breed both to their 1/2 sibling, Lucian, for an entire litter of BEW's before I move him on.

These are just some of the highlights planned for this winter's breedings.
